Our approach is grounded in bringing a calming, soothing influence, complemented with a friendly, can-do attitude where nothing is too much trouble. I can't access my venue until late morning, what happens in this case?
If there is a change of location on or off-site due to access restrictions to your venue you’ll need additional time for packing down, moving and the second set up, you can select this as an add-on service.

Do you offer additional hours to stay to check my make-up and hair?
After booking time ends. additional hours available per hour. 

How do I need to prepare?

We suggest implementing 5 steps ahead of your trial to be fully prepared.

1. Create a mood board with dress swatches for inspiration.
2. Reflect on your daily style, lighting, and favourite celebrity looks.
3. Prioritise skincare, haircare, and hydration for the best canvas.
4. Arrive with freshly washed,  preferably blowdried and no straighteners please! To maximise on time please arrive fresh faced. Bring your own new mascara or you can buy one in-studio.
5. Wear a white or light top to complement the makeup and hair.

Schedule the trial 1-3 months before your wedding, ideally post-"yes to the dress" moment, during daytime hours, and don't worry if you haven't chosen hair accessories or a veil yet. Check ours out here!

Can I bring someone with me?
Ideally please come alone. We suggest not bringing lots of people as sometimes lots of opinions don’t help and it can be distracting. Like how too many cooks spoil the broth.  If you feel it won't be the same on your own you can bring a best friend, bridesmaid or mum who is fun; select those that’ll bring the positive vibes!

Can my Mum, sister, best friend have a trial?
Yes they can, in this situation we advise they come after your appointment.

After your trial 
Finally, wear your hair and makeup ‘look’ for an hour or so and take a look at it in different mirrors in your home to get used to it, and practise your gorgeous smile! Some brides have found it useful to book a dress fitting after their trial.

How long is the trial appointment?
For the Luxury Bride Natural Glam Trial, it is approximately 2 hours. For the Luxe Bride, it is approximately 3 hours if trialling both hair and makeup.

Are your artists insured?
Yes, all of our artists have public liability insurance.

Where does my trial take place?
Trials are done at Donna's studio in Bristol.  If one of our team are looking after you you may have a home visit. 

Do you charge for artists’ travel expenses?
Travel is charged at £10 per 15 minutes of travel time.

Are your products high-quality?
Our artists are unaffiliated, so their makeup is carefully curated for only the highest-quality professional products and tools.

Are your products cruelty free and vegan?
We endeavour to source products that are cruelty free. There is a lot of misinformation out there about brands, we do our research to ensure we are using cruelty free products where possible.  We are committed to ethical and sustainable beauty. We have some way to go using up what we have and going forward making more conscious decisions in what we stock in our kit and move over to cleaner beauty brands and products with minimal use of chemicals. 

We have a vegan hair and make-up collection, please request this on booking. 

I have sensitive skin, what can I do?
All of products are of the highest quality suitable for professional use. A trial is a good opportunity to test products for irritation before the big day. 
If you do not know what you are sensitive and are concerned we suggest conducting a thorough patch test before your trial, you'll need a one hour appointment for this. If you have a certain product in you know works well for you bring it along. 

I’m unhappy with the trial - am I committed to book?
Nope, we understand that, if on the rare occasion you’re not over the moon with the results, you don’t want to feel tied to book a full appointment. You’re just liable for the trial and any expenses relating to it. 

How Much Time Should I Plan For Hair and Makeup?
This will be worked out at your trial, but as a general guideline we recommend allowing approximately 2 hours for both hair and makeup, plus an additional hour for each individual member of your party who will also be receiving makeup.

Do you have a minimum spend that I would need to pay?
For mobile service I have a minimum of two services. 

My usual hairdresser is doing my hair, she's been doing it since I was 10 - would you come just to do make-up?
Yes, contact me for a custom package quotation. 

What does Natural Glam bridal make-up look like?
You'll look subtly different, with your beautiful features enhanced. Think pretty, natural, fresh, you on your best day kinda make-up and hair. It's out most popular service.  Natural lashes, airbrush make-up are tools that are optional to create this stunning bridal look. 

What does Luxe bridal make-up look like? 
You'll get that full glamour make-up look, think smokey eyes, bold brows and intricate laying of products and details.  It's you but with a very glam polished finish. This stunning bridal look is more suited to those who want to make an statement and are comfortable wearing less natural make-up. 

I'm still not sure which look is going to suit me, which service should I book in for?
Send some pictures of you and what you have in mind with a short description of your usual style. We can point you in the right direction. We suggest booking a longer trial appointment if you want more time. 

What deposit do you require? 
50% secures your date. We take payment via card or bank transfer. We advise you book your wedding date to secure the date as soon as you can. And book your trial nearer the time. 

What is airbrush make-up?
Applied correctly, it takes skills, you'll get the complexion  of your dreams.  Applied with fine layers you'll get long lasting foundation with a natural finish.  Using a pen and a compressor, make-up is lightly blown onto the skin in layers.  The results you'll get light to medium coverage with a super lightweight feel. If you want a long lasting make-up look that feels comfortable and looks natural then this is for you. Airbrush make-up has limited availability.
