In recent years Halloween has been full of zombies, blood and gore.  My inspiration for this photo shoot comes from my love of glamour, cult sirens and classic black and white Hollywood horror movies.

Vampira is the perfect Halloween muse for me to create devilish hair and make-up with a touch of class . Her image oozes femininity, glamour, and power….the perfect subject for a glamorous Halloween makeover. Vampira the TV Horror Hostess was played by Maila Nurmi from the 1950’s Vampira Show and starred in the movie Plan 9 From Outer Space.  The character Vampira was also portrayed by Lisa Marie Smith in the biographical movie Ed Wood 1994.
